Aubrey is wise...

Today I wasn't planning on blogging because nothing really exciting happened...but then I just barely read my roommate, Aubrey's most recent blog post and I had to share what I learned. I sat there and read it and just fell in love with what she experienced today. I even read the post twice! Today...Aubrey had HOPE. Something EVERYONE needs. There was this sheet of paper on our refrigerator:

No one in our apartment knows where it came from....I personally think it makes it that much more special. Today...Aubrey took HOPE. Just read her post and you'll know what she experienced today. I'm not going to go off and mimic what Aubrey wrote about HOPE. Her blog post says it all! I found this quote about HOPE and wanted to share... "Learn from yesterday, live for today, HOPE for tomorrow. The important thing is to stop questioning."
-Albert Einstein

Today I learned that everyone needs HOPE. It's one of the only things that can really make life so much better and more enjoyable. With HOPE comes FAITH. And with FAITH comes a stronger YOU....Just made that up...It might not make any sense to any of whom read my blog...but it made sense to me.

So thank you Aubrey Jo for giving me that little piece of HOPE that I've been looking for.

"For we need a little (more) Christmas!"

Oh tis the season to be jolly!
Have yourself a very Merry Christmas!
Jingle freaking bells!
Monday night was one that I'll always remember!
I usually hate Mondays...
Oh but today was so much fun!
Early morning class was cancelled...work was alright...the rest of classes went well too!
Psychology was interesting...we had a death and dying lecture.
I couldn't help but cry in the middle of class with the thought of any of my loved ones dying.
Friends...family....roommates....I would be heart broken.
I came home and walked straight over to Aubrey in tears and gave her a hug.
We stood there in silence...she let me cry. I am so grateful for her.
We talked about how beautiful the plan of salvation is and how we are so grateful for the Atonement.

We decided to have a fun night!
We got on our freaking awesome Christmas sweaters, leggings and boots and headed off the Walmart!
We needed hot chocolate!
After Walmart, we goofed around on photo booth and then headed over to Breann's apartment.
She is one of Aubrey's best friends!
It was fun to show her our Christmas get up and sing carols to her!
We came back and Addison was there!
We popped some popcorn...made some delicious hot chocolate...got in our PJ's...and watched the Polar Express!
Another one of my favorite Christmas movies!
I just love Christmas.
I love how Aubrey and I are making it our own...TOGETHER!
This Christmas wouldn't be so magical if it wasn't for her!
Thanks Aubs!

1149 Sisters!

Aubrey and I came down here on our own with the hope to make new friends.
Not gonna lie...I was seriously worried that none of my roommates would like me.
But the day I met all of my roomies...all of those worries went away.
They were all so sweet and welcoming.
I feel like we all became such good friends from the very beginning.
We are rarely all together because we all have different work and school schedules.
We have wanted to have dinner all together but it never worked out.
FINALLY one day I asked all of them to come over to my house in Salt Lake for dinner this Sunday and
EVERY one of them were able to come!
My amazing mom made us an incredible Sunday dinner.
We all sat around the table and enjoyed each other's company.
We talked about Harry Potter and Twilight.
We talked about families and school.
We talked about good looking men.
I feel like we all got to know each other even more during that dinner.
I LOVE these girls!
We are all so different...BUT when we are all together...it's noting but a grand ol' time!

I am so blessed to have such amazing roommates.
They are always there for me.
They make me laugh more than anyone.
I don't know how I got so lucky!
I love all 5 of them!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM APT H1149!!!

Cross your heart...CROSS IT!

I woke up this morning with the hope for a good and productive day.
Afternoon was nothing but miserable and rocky.
Great.
Then I turned to Aub and said, "Let's hang out tonight. You and me?"
And hang out we did.
We worked on our photography "story".
It's not due until next Friday but we were so excited to get this done!
I can't wait to turn it in and post it!
We are both so happy at how it turned out.
We have more "stories" to shoot.

Aubrey and I decided to drive out to Herriman to see the "UP" house.
*SIGH*
I loved every second of it!
UP is one of my favorite movies and so being in the house made me feel like I was in the movie.
Carl and Ellie have a wonderful sense of architecture and style!

We signed the "Adventure Book"!!

Merry Christmas from Carl and Ellie!!! <3

***22 days until Christmas***

My 2 Heros...

These guys...

Jake and Jess.
May 3, 2007 wasn't only the best day of my sister's live...
but it was one of the best days of my life too.
Having Jake as a brother has been a huge blessing in my life.
I'm really missing them both right this second.
They live in NYC right now while Jess is going to Columbia to get her masters.
These 2 have shown me what love is.

I hope to marry someone someday who is just like Jake.
Smart.
Loving.
HILARIOUS.
Handsome.
He shows so much love to my dear sister and I hope to have someone love me like that someday.
They have supported me through EVERYTHING in life!
Dance company.
Musicals.
Graduation.

Life.

I call them up whenever I need advice. For living across the country...they do an amazing job and helping me out in life.

I don't refer Jake as my brother in law.
He's my brother.
I talk to him about school, drama, boys, work, dance..you name it.
Oh and did I say he has an INCREDIBLE voice?? Ya...he does.
Thanks to him, I was able to find all of my classes at the U of U last year.
He is someone I can just sit on the couch with a talk.
He is a good listener. I KNOW he will be an amazing father someday.
He is hilarious. He is probably the funniest person I know.
I am constantly laughing around him.
Almost to a point where I might have an accident.
When I'm sad, Jake is the first one there with an arm
around me telling me everything is going to be ok.

Jessica is amazing!
I think we are twins.

I was just born a little late...okay...maybe 7 years too late.
We dance together.
We laugh together.
We cry together.
I honestly don't know what I would do without her.
She is the most Christ-like person I know.
I love that I am able to call Bethany and Jessica my best friends....eternal best friends.
They are both there for me 24/7.
How did I get so lucky?
Jessica is going to be an incredible mother.
She is so comforting and gives great advice.
When I call her crying...she cries with me.
She'll call me up every once in a while just to say hello and catch up.
I always try to pick up the second I see "Caca" calling.

I was able to go to New York over the summer to visit them.
Jake left town and so it was just me and Jess.
I can't get over how amazing that trip was.
We cried at the airport as we said goodbye.
It's never fun saying good bye to someone you love so dearly.
Welp...March 2012 is coming up... and I'll be returning to the Big Apple for a week with Jess AND Jake! NYC trip take 2!

So who do I miss??
These guys...

Good Day!

Today was a good day.
I wish I had a good day EVERYDAY.
Work was...eh..
Maybe not the best for me.
But everyone has those days right?
I was really excited to go to photography lab today for some reason.
I felt like I did a good job on my assignments.
Aub and I had stayed up late last night taking pictures.
We wanted to do well and please our amazing instructor Mista Jake Buntjer!
P.s....his photography is AMAZING!!! Click HERE!
Anyways...
He was super happy about my pictures.
I did a lousy job on my last assignment so I was stoked that he liked my pictures today.

Oh and Jake made me and Aubs some pretty sweet bracelets!
We are really sad that the semester is almost over and this class is coming to an end.
We have made some really good friends in this class.
But we told Jake that we would come to his labs to say hello next semester.

After class, Aub, her cousin Scooter and I went on a hunt to find the traditional ugly Christmas sweater!
DI.
Epic fail.
SAVERS.
Mission accomplished.
Aubs and I found some sweet sweatshirts....
Pictures will be posted as soon as our sweatshirts are completed....
Oh just you wait!
Then I came home to hang out for a bit.
Then met up with Trent at Thanksgiving Point.
We were going to go see the lights.
Oh but it was so cold!
I really don't mind the cold.
I love it....only when there is snow!
It was really windy and kind of miserable if you ask me!
So we got some Del Taco...for some reason...it sounded SO good!
Trent always soothes my cravings...he's wonderful.
Then we came back to my apartment and sat and talked.
We have been having a lot of good talks lately.
Mostly just the question game and laughs here and there.

Ended the night sitting next to Aubbie while we both blog and update our pictures.
I love Aubrey.
She's going through a lot right now and yet, she can keep her chin up and just look forward in life.
I'm so proud of her and everything she is accomplishing.
Thanks for making this year amazing and special Aubs!

Good night Neverland!!!

Christmas in 1149...

Today as Aubrey and I were shopping at Savers for our amazing Christmas sweaters, I said to her, "This has been a really good year as far as Holidays go...I guess it's cause we've done stuff together to make it fun." This is a true statement! When I was little...Halloween was the bomb! I love gettin gmy costume all put together and trick or treating with my dad! During Christmas, I would deck my room out with lights and my mini Christmas tree with presents under it. Yes the presents were actually toys from my room that I would give to my American Girl dolls on Christmas Day! Throughout the years, I grew up and the magic kind of sizzled. Now that I live away from home, I make holidays my own! Aubs and I were minions and we went to several parties for Halloween. This year for Christmas, I've  made it my own as well! Aub made us count down calendars! Each day we eat a piece of candy! We set up a VERY mini Christmas tree. Our room has lights around the window and across the wall. We always wear our Christmas PJ's. We have stockings hung up. We are constantly playing Christmas music. I guess all we need is snow...rumor has is it that it never really snows in Orem...sad day. But that's okay! I love that Aubrey and I have made this year Christmas ours to share! Now onto watching The Grinch a bunch!!
Here's to the amazing memories I've already had this Christmas season!
