This. Is. Halloween.

Halloween is never really my favorite holiday.

Ya, I loved it when I was little.

Getting all dressed up.

Trick or treating.

Eating candy until my belly ached.

Parties at school.

It was all a dream for me.

For a few years, I was not a fan. 

I could do without the holiday.

But ever since I moved down to Orem, 

my feelings of Halloween have softened.

I love dressing up with my roommates and making my own costume.

Makes me feel a little creative.

Happy Halloween everyone! 

I can't get over how lucky I am to have such amazing roommates.

 I love them to death.

Pathetic...

Aubrey and I live pathetic lives sometimes.
Lately it has been very fun and exciting.
But sometimes we have moments that are just down right pathetic.

Last night was one of those nights.
Aub and I were...well....STARVING.
Nothing we ate satisfied our poor tummies.
We were watching Once Upon A Time.
Neither of us could focus on the show.
Aubrey turns to me and says,
"Our stomachs are bottomless....just like the chips and salsa at Chili's"
All I can respond with is,
"Wanna go to Chili's?"
"Ya.." (Aubrey)
We didn't even hesitate.
Grabbed the keys and we were out.

We had bottomless chips and salsa
then 2 bites of our entrees.
LEFTOVERS!

So ya...
We love Chili's.
We live pathetic lives.
But hey!
We sure are fun!

Pillow Talk.

So as you know from my last post, yesterday went from a lousy day to a memorable one
I've never been a fan of shows like the Bachelor or the Bachelorette.
In fact, I used to make fun of people who watched that show.
Over the summer, I found myself watching the Bachelorette.
I will admit...I got attached. I loved it. And I was shocked.
Aubrey and I were big fans of the Bachelor Pad.
When that show ended...we had to find another show.
Well the Bachelor is back on and we are happy campers.
So last night, Aubrey and I and our amazing roomies gathered together from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Popcorn was popped and McKay (Aub's little brother) was ready to Skype.
He watched it with us!
I found it manly.
I loved the comments that would come from McKay and everyone in the room.
We all hate Courtney.
We all love Emily.
Emily and Courtney hate each other though.
Emily talked crapped on Courtney to Courtney' new "BFF".
That "BFF" told Courtney.
We all thought that Emily was going to be sent home.
A sigh of relief was made when Ben gave Emily a rose.
We still hate Courtney.
Aubrey sent me a picture that made a valid point.

Yeah....enough said.
We love Ben Frensky!

10:30 rolled around and Aubrey and I found ourselves in our beds...weird...I know.
Only because our usual bed time is...well let's just say...really late.
It was quiet. Then I hear:
"Annie? You talked in your sleep last night....it's been a while."
Yes I have a confession. I talk in my sleep...sometimes...and Aubrey always experiences it.
We talked about that. Then I realized the kitchen light was on.
Aubrey remembered that our door wasn't locked.
She went and locked it.
Funny thought I had while she did that.
I love crawling onto Aubrey's bed and talking to her.
We do this when we just want to talk or even to cry to each other.
So while she was locking the door, I thought to myself, "I really want Aubs to crawl onto my bed when she gets back."
She came back in the room and crawled right onto my bed.
She read my mind.
We do that with each other.
We talked about the most random things ever.
From getting married, to our amazing families, to Bachelor talk.
I look at my phone.
It's 12:35 AM.
Aub gets in her bed.
A few minutes later, I ask Aub if she was even tired.
"Nope."
We began making match-ups between Disney characters.
This was fun!
Ahem:
Abu vs. Mushu
Zazoo vs. Eago
and my favorite...the emperor from Mulan vs. Grandmother Willow.
Check the clock.
It's 1:00.
We wish it was 12:35 forever.
I loved it though.
We made a memory together.
By far one of my favorites!
Usually pillow talk with your best friend consists of boys, drama and gossip.
Well not for my and Aubrey.
Our pillow talk is better than that!

Hate to Great!

Today was an interesting day.
Went into work with a lousy attitude.
It's a Monday and I wasn't in the mood.
After a good meeting with my amazing manager, work started to get better.
Came home to a surprise.
Best friend Trent knew that I was having a lousy day at work and that I didn't have the best weekend.
He dropped off some gerber daisies and a nice note.
I immediately began to be happy.
He is such a good friend and he did a good job at making me happy.
Thank you!
Off to class!
It was good!
In psychology, we learned about multitasking.
I learned that I am pretty good at multitasking.
I love my professor. He is awesome.
Health was great too.
After health, I made a spontaneous decision to make a change in my schedule.
I have a bunch of friends taking an astronomy class together.
It sounded interesting and fun.
So after many trips around UVU campus and running back and forth with an ADD-CLASS card in my hand....I was able to transfer into the class.
We will see how I like this class.
But ya...so life down here is good.
I love being back at my home.
I have made a special effort in making Orem my home.
I know I will always have my home in Salt Lake.
But being on my own down here has been nothing but a blessing.
I love getting to know Aubrey even more.
I love the laugh and memories we have made together.
I love that we were sisters to start out with...but now...we are even more sisters...ya...that makes no sense. But ya...it's true!
I love it down here!

Oh tis the season to be jolly!

Jingle freaking bells!
Monday night was one that I'll always remember!
I usually hate Mondays...
Oh but today was so much fun!
Early morning class was cancelled...work was alright...the rest of classes went well too!
Psychology was interesting...we had a death and dying lecture.
I couldn't help but cry in the middle of class with the thought of any of my loved ones dying.
Friends...family....roommates....I would be heart broken.
I came home and walked straight over to Aubrey in tears and gave her a hug.
We stood there in silence...she let me cry. I am so grateful for her.
We talked about how beautiful the plan of salvation is and how we are so grateful for the Atonement.

We decided to have a fun night!
We got on our freaking awesome Christmas sweaters, leggings and boots and headed off the Walmart!
We needed hot chocolate!
After Walmart, we goofed around on photo booth and then headed over to Breann's apartment.
She is one of Aubrey's best friends!
It was fun to show her our Christmas get up and sing carols to her!
We came back and Addison was there!
We popped some popcorn...made some delicious hot chocolate...got in our PJ's...and watched the Polar Express!

I just love Christmas.
I love how Aubrey and I are making it our own...TOGETHER!
This Christmas wouldn't be so magical if it wasn't for her!

1149 Sisters!

Aubrey and I came down here on our own with the hope to make new friends.

Not gonna lie...I was seriously worried that none of my roommates would like me. 

But the day I met all of my roomies...all of those worries went away. 

They were all so sweet and welcoming.

I feel like we all became such good friends from the very beginning.

We are rarely all together because we all have different work and school schedules.

We have wanted to have dinner all together but it never worked out.

FINALLY one day I asked all of them to come over to my house in Salt Lake for dinner this Sunday and

EVERY one of them were able to come!

My amazing mom made us an incredible Sunday dinner.

We all sat around the table and enjoyed each other's company.

We talked about Harry Potter and Twilight.

We talked about families and school.

We talked about good looking men.

I feel like we all got to know each other even more during that dinner.

I LOVE these girls!

We are all so different...BUT when we are all together...it's noting but a grand ol' time!

I am so blessed to have such amazing roommates.

They are always there for me.

They make me laugh more than anyone.

I don't know how I got so lucky!

I love all 5 of them!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM APT H1149!!!

Christmas in 1149...

Today as Aubrey and I were shopping at Savers for our amazing Christmas sweaters, I said to her, "This has been a really good year as far as Holidays go...I guess it's cause we've done stuff together to make it fun." This is a true statement! When I was little...Halloween was the bomb! I love gettin gmy costume all put together and trick or treating with my dad! During Christmas, I would deck my room out with lights and my mini Christmas tree with presents under it. Yes the presents were actually toys from my room that I would give to my American Girl dolls on Christmas Day! Throughout the years, I grew up and the magic kind of sizzled. Now that I live away from home, I make holidays my own! Aubs and I were minions and we went to several parties for Halloween. This year for Christmas, I've  made it my own as well! Aub made us count down calendars! Each day we eat a piece of candy! We set up a VERY mini Christmas tree. Our room has lights around the window and across the wall. We always wear our Christmas PJ's. We have stockings hung up. We are constantly playing Christmas music. I guess all we need is snow...rumor has is it that it never really snows in Orem...sad day. But that's okay! I love that Aubrey and I have made this year Christmas ours to share! Now onto watching The Grinch a bunch!!

Oh Lovely Apt. 1149...

I know I already blogged today...but stuff has been going on tonight at apartment 1149 that must be documented. I no longer have facebook....yes oh your followers of my blog...I deactivated my facebook account...and for many reasons. Since I can't post this as my status...why not blog it?? Let me start out by saying how much I love my 5 roommates. We are all SO different...but when we get together it's a party and we all enjoy each other's company! Hoa is from Louisiana. She is an amazing cook! One of my favorite things about her is that she says "Ya'll" ALL the time. LOVE HER! Katie is from Orem. She dominates at Zelda. Her and I like to watch Halloween movies together and bond. I adore this girl! Kat is just hilarious. She likes to hide in her room sometimes and so we never know when she is home. Kat is a hoot! Elise is pretty freaking awesome! She and I like to joke around with each other. I love Elise! Then there's Aubrey. Oh Aubrey! It's because of her that I decided to come here...k not 100%..BUT she did put the idea in my head. I am forever grateful for Aubbie Jo.

Okay so tonight...I was going to go to bed like an hour ago, but why not hang out with the roomies for a bit??? We are all doing our daily routines...

Hoa is cooking...amazing food. (By the way...I feel more at home here because it always smells like my mom's cooking...thanks HOA!!!)

Elise is in her room...probably sleeping or studying.

All I have to say...is that I ADORE my roommates! We haven't gotten a picture of all 6 of us together...but we'll get it! I'm truly blessed to be living with 5 fantastic girls!

Day 13...

I stand in need of comfort...Aubrey Jo to the rescue!

She knows just what to say to make me feel better.
She knows when I'm upset.

Even when I'm not verbal about it.

It's kind of freaky sometimes.

But I like it.

Last night and today were hard days.

She hurried home from Salt Lake last night.

Just so she could help me.

She asked if I needed anything.

All I wanted was a hug.

She gave me a big one.

Aubrey put everything aside so that I was okay.

She made things okay today.

She just made me happy.

I never realized how grateful I am for her.

Known her since 4th grade.

We met on escalators at Trolly Square.

I got her to join Clayton.

According to her..."She owes her Clayton life to me"...hehe

We share the passion of singing and dance together.

We say roomie prayers together at night

and end it with a hug.

Never get in any arguments.

We share closets....literally.

We do photography homework together.

We read books and take naps.

We dress up together for Halloween.

We have shaving parties together.

We enjoy Sunday naps.

We make each other stronger in our weakest points.

We leave post-it notes for each other.

We have the same S.R.B. necklace.

We make each other's beds.

We make videos for each other.

We have push our beds together & have sleepovers.

She wakes up first on Sunday mornings so

I wake up so we attend church.

She gives the best hugs.

She listens.

She snuggles with me when I'm sad.

She wipes away my tears.

She suggests a funny movie to watch so we can laugh.

She sits on the piano bench with me at choir practice.

She makes me gluten free brownies.

She lets me know she loves me no matter what.

She is unselfish.

She is humble and spiritual.

She is beautiful.

She is pure and smart.

She knows how to turn my frown upside down.

She lets me cry when I just want to cry.

She cries with me.

She is HILAR!

She is true to herself.

She is a loyal friend.

She's the greatest and I love her.

We cry together...laugh together...sing together...eat together...

Not one ounce of me is sick of living with this Aubrey Jo Nilsson.

She looked heartbroken when I joked around about getting married at a young age.

That's when I knew that we still have a lot of time to live together and make even more memories as roommates...

and sisters...

Today...I'm grateful for Aubrey Jo Nilsson.

HECK! I'm grateful for her every day.

But today...she did a lot for me.

I never thought I would end up living with her.

Never thought about going to UVU.

I owe this year to her.

She has helped me in so many ways and she doesn't even know it sometimes.

I guess you could say that God knew that I would

struggle with some things living on my own.

He put me with a roommate that could make those trials easier...He did a good job.

Aubsie and Fann...

Not only am I grateful for "Annie Time"...but I'm also grateful for "Aubrey and Annie Time". After I was done with Annie time...I thought it would be good for me to stop being a loser and hang out with Aubrey. What did we do?...we read books. Who would have thought that reading a book next to your roomie would be so fun?? We sat next to each other on Aubrey's bed...we didn't take a picture because we fell asleep. So nappy time it was for us! I love that Aubs and I take naps at the same time. Bonding. Then we woke up..missed institute...oops..But hurried and got ready for our lady date. That's right people...a lady date! We went to Zupas for dinner. I got the BBQ chicken salad while Aubrey enjoyed her favorite TBA!

We downed that meal and hurried off to UVU's Synergy Dance Company concert...it was good...we left at intermission...we love dance. Trust me. We LOVE dance. This concert was 100% modern..NOTHING wrong with that...but it's hard to sit through any sort of concert with a throbbing head ache. So we left. I went to bed while Aubrey went up to hang out with her bestie, Addison. I LOVE AUBREY AND ANNIE TIME!

To Sum Up The Week...

This week was pretty good! Some stressful times here and there but I got through them!

So I took my science test on Monday and get a 74%. I was really excited about it because science is a totally different language to me. Then I go to class on Wednesday and found out that with the curve, I got an 87%! Good day!

On Thursday, Aub Dob and I went out to shoot some pictures for our photography class. We spotted a piece of land and decided to shoot there. Aubs noticed a tree house off to the side and so we stopped there and took some amazing pictures! It was like Neverland! We thought it was so cute!

Then off to institute....you can never go wrong with institute. We love our teacher and he loves us! :) He knew my grandpa Hugh. It's always fun meeting people like that.

After institute, my sister Bethany and I went out for sushi! We get dinner every Thursday! I love my sister!

Friday came. TGIF! Work. Then off to photography lab! Me and Aubrey were really proud of ourselves for shooting some pretty awesome pictures! Our lab instructor liked them too...especially Aubrey's! When we got home, we put on some sweet eye-liner and made ourselves some awesome Egyptian snake type head bands. IT'S NATIONAL KING TUT DAY!! Aubrey has this sweet calendar with random holidays and today was King Tut day! Here's to King Tut!!

My friend Todd came and picked me up and we headed off to Salt Lake for the Olympus-Bountiful football game. His brother is on the team. Unfortunately, Olympus didn't win...BUT it was a good game. Todd, Andrew, Maddie and I headed up to Emigration canyon for dinner at Ruth's Diner and then to their old boss' house. His name is Rich. NICEST man I will ever meet.

Aubrey left early this morning to head up to Sandy. I was glad I was kind of awake when she left because I was able to give her a big hug good bye. Woke up late this morning...I needed it. Went grocery shopping...spent a good amount on food..but after 2 months of no good food, it was needed. Came home and watched "Eclipse"...by myself. Wasn't having a very good day so it was nice to have some Annie time. Then we had some friends over for the Alabama-LSU game! There were only a few LSU fans present. I was one of them. My roomie Hoa is an LSU fan...so I supported her tonight!

It was really fun! A good game with good food and friends! It was a good way to end a lousy day. We all missed Aubrey tonight....we always miss Aubrey when she is away.

Then Carlos and I went in my room to talk about some stuff. He is such a good friend! He was able to give me some good advice. He brings such a sweet spirit to this apartment!

Then Kib joined us and we talked for a bit. I love my new friends down here!

Yep today was kind of lousy...but it ended with a good time with good friends...and good food :)
