.dance.
Dance is my life. It has molded me into the person I am today. I am sad that our season has come to an end, but I am forever grateful for the experience I had with this year's group. Ya it was different. It always is. That's why I love dance. You never know what kind of rehearsal/performance you are going to have.
I want to publicly express gratitude for all those who came to support the company in our concert. I am amazed at the wonderful people in my life who come to support me. It blows me away. I've never felt such love and support from so many family members and friends. Thanks all!
Something that made this year so special was dancing
with my best friend. She is my sister and I don't know
what I would do without her. She made that 30 minute drive
to dance each week worth it. Love her.
These are just a few of the amazing people
who came to support me tonight.
I love them all.
This concert was extra special to me this
year because I got to dance with my
beautiful sister. She is my rock and
dancing with her is an honor.
I woke up the next morning to these beauties.
Do they hurt? Oh yes.
Are the ugly? Of course.
Was it worth it? Totes.

.god.is.good.
I know you have all seen bunches of posts on Facebook about a historical evening the Pinnock family witnessed last night but I just have to blog about it. Without knowing, cousins, Josh and Stephen put their mission papers in on the same day. We had planned on watching them open their calls on March 6th since that was the day we expected their calls to come....however....they didn't arrive. Josh and Stephen, being the amazing boys they are, didn't mind one bit. Stephen would tell me, "It's okay! I've been called and it will come eventually. That's all that matters. I'm not worried one bit!" What a guy! March 7th comes around and I receive a text from my mom: "It came!!" And as luck would have it, Josh's came too. Welp...saddle up! Time for lives to change in just a sentence or two!
We all gathered at my Uncle Jon and Aunt Laura's house for this moment. A few minutes before they opened their calls I told Jon that they had to go to the same country...they just had to. Not the same mission...but we were hoping at least the same country. In past conversations our family had talked about predictions as to where we thought Stephen would go. My mom was convinced he was going to the Philippines. I thought either New York or Italy. Jess thought Italy...only because she WANTED him to go there (she is our little Italian). We gathered around these two boys (okay men...) and anticipated to hear the assignment of where they were to serve the Lord for the next 2 years. Stephen, being the oldest of the 2, went first.
"Dear Elder Pinnock,
You have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the ITALY, MILAN mission!!"
I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. Is my little brother seriously going to his DREAM MISSION!? Is he going where I predicted?! Is he even old enough to do this?!
After a lot of cheers, shouts and tears...it was Josh's turn. We again...anticipated.
"Dear Elder Pinnock,
You have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the ITALY, MILAN mission!!"
Again...even louder cheers, shouts and tears! I thought he was joking, but Josh put his hand to his mouth and immediately started sobbing. This was no joke. This was real. This was happening. This was amazing.
The 2 elders embraced in a long, much needed, hug. They just held each other. Laughed. Cried. Hugged. These 2 brothers from 2 mothers have been called to 1 mission. The Italy, Milan mission. Departing on the SAME day, July 24, 2013.
God is good. He is real....and well...funny.
I still can't believe this moment happened. I can't believe that my little brother and his side kick of 18 years are old enough to go on missions....let alone, the same mission! Good speed Elders Pinnock!
My Aunt Laura asked me to make a video of this moment and so here it is!

.olympus.titans.
For those of you who didn't know, Olympus High School is 60 years old and is being rebuilt this year. This is a little tender subject for me since I had so many amazing memories in that school. Basketball is huge deal at Olympus since the team is always amazing. This particular basketball game was a big deal because it was the last home game at the old high school and it was against our rival team...SKYLINE. I was so happy that Trent and I were able to make it to the game. Of course...Olympus won. I have a lot of pride in this school so I was stoked. I was also able to run into some old friends there so that was a bonus. GO TITANS!
Ran into this beautiful girl at half time! We were SBO's and Vicki Belnap survivors together. We were both a little overwhelmed after not seeing each other in 93 years!
My date to this epic game!
I love this little goober....too much.
GO TITANS.

It's 2013 Ya'll!
Soooo....for those of you how read my blog will come to find that I have been MIA and haven't blogged in a while. The end of 2012 was crazy busy with work, my grandpa's funeral, Christmas, family in town, etc. BUT, I am back and ready to blog and share my life experiences!
I want to start out by telling you about my New Year's Eve.
Wow.
What an incredible night?!
My parents were amazing enough to hire "Cruzin' Sushi" to come cater our dinner.
I knew that we had a sushi chef coming over but I didn't think it would be like this!
I pulled up to my parents house and there on our driveway was this huge truck.
Anna and Josh (the chefs) were walking in and out of it with containers
full of sushi ingredients and platters of who knows what.
My mom had the table as set up so beautifully...she always does.
My parents were nice enough to let us all (me, hugh and stephen) bring dates.
It was an all around fun packed dinner!
Anna made the sushi in front of us while Josh would be in the truck
frying our tempura and other yummy treats!
I cannot tell you how amazing this was.
Anna then invited us to come and make our own sushi.
That was an experience!
We have found a new tradition and I am so happy!
I love my family so much and it was so much fun to spend New Year's Eve with them.
After dinner, Trent and I headed over to say hello to my Aunt Annette.
They were in the middle of games but it was good to see them!
We then headed over to Trent's friend Jonathan's parent's house.
We played some games and had a good laugh.
The Deesing family has a tradition where they burn their Christmas tree at midnight
and shoot off fireworks.
Watching the tree light up was awesome!
We watched an amazing firework show.
If you know me...you will know that I LOVE fireworks!
It was a good way to end the night.
I loved the year 2012....
but bring it on 2013!

Firm Believer.
I am a firm believer in many things.
One belief that I have that I will never question nor deny is the gospel.
I am also a firm believer in the saying, "things happen for a reason."
Today was a day where that belief will never be denied.
I had the day off from work to attend doctor's appointments.
I couldn't for today to happen.
Late last night, my friend Sarah asked if I would go to the temple with her this morning.
I realized it had been a while since I had been and I couldn't turn that opportunity down.
I woke up at my usual time.
As I was pouring my cereal, I noticed that my scriptures were right next to my bowl.
I read my scriptures as I ate my honey nut cheerios.
I wanted to be prepared for my visit to the temple.
I needed to be prepared.
Something amazing was going to happen.
I could just feel it.
Got to the temple around 9:45.
There was hardly anyone there.
I was in the font area waiting for my turn.
Waiting for a miracle maybe?
Just waiting.
This older man was in the font talking to the temple workers.
He had long grey hair pulled back into a pony tail with a scruffed up beard.
In walks an older looking lady.
She had long grey hair pulled back into a pony tail and braided.
She was his wife.
They had a big stack of family names.
I could wait.
I watched as this man baptized his wife in honor of their family members who had passed on.
He began to cry.
She began to cry.
I wanted to feel what they were feeling.
So badly.
I listened to his words.
I watched him.
I felt it.
I began to cry.
I had a prayer of mine answered right then and there.
After I did my work, Sarah and I were getting ready in the women's room.
The lady come out in dry baptismal clothes ready to be confirmed.
I asked her about her family names.
I asked her about her husband.
She goes on to tell me that he looks like a biker dude and not to worry because he is "very LDS".
"He's a high priest!" she said with enthusiasm.
I couldn't help but smile and admire her love for her husband and this gospel.
Another girl came out to get ready to leave and I had noticed that the temple workers knew her by name.
She comes every Monday and has been for the past year and a half.
She just put in her papers and will receive her mission call on Wednesday.
I smiled at the fact that for a year and a half, she has been doing what I should be doing every week.
That she has such love and excitement for the work.
Again, my prayers were answered right in that room.
Sarah and I proceeded to the waiting room.
I knew that the temple was closing soon but I wanted to read The Book of Mormon for a little bit.
We sat and read.
A sweet old man came up to us and thanked us for being worthy to enter into the Lord's house.
Again, I smiled.
I read and felt the spirit so strongly.
There was no mistake that I was there at that time.
There was no mistake that Sarah asked me to go on my only day off of work.
There was no mistake that the lovely couple was there doing work for their ancestors.
There. Was. No. Mistake.
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason.
That people come in and out of our lives at the most perfect times.
I didn't meet strangers today.
I met angels and friends.
Things happen for a reason.
I believe it.
Do you?

The "Guys"
So last semester, Aubrey and I didn't make very many friends in our ward.
This semester....we've got amigos!
What's really funny is that Aubrey and I have been doing the EXACT same thing we did last semester.
Yes, we do go to our ward more and we are actually going to ward prayer.
We have gotten to be good friends with some amazing people.
We'd like to introduce you to the "Guys".
Nick: He plays the bass. He's funny and we keep up with Jazz play by plays during stake conference.
Landon: He plays the drums. The guitar. The cello. He's legit.
Brandon: He is Nick's brother. We have good convos on the shuttle.
Jono: He is a photographer. He likes Friends. His laugh is contagious.
Chance: He plays the guitar. He likes hats. He feels bad when girls cry. He likes grape juice.
Man we love these boys!
They have made life down here so much fun.
They watch High School Musical with us.
They jam with us.
I loved walking into their apartment last night and having them say:
"Annie! We made you gluten free brownies!!"
Best thing ever!
Aubrey and I find it hilarious when they say: "Seriously...where have you girls been?"
Our response?... "Well...we've just been here...ya know...."
LIfe is good down here!
New friends.
Love it!!

Busy Saturday!
Started off the day with a bridal shower for my sister Bethany!
The women there were my mom's best friends growing up and friends through BYU and study abroad.
It was fun to see many familiar faces and being in the Johnson's home....my second home growing up.
Received a phone call from little brother Stephen:
"Annie! I'm late for Clayton concert rehearsal!"
I was off to the rescue!
We hurried over to Juan Diego in Draper. He was only 6 minutes late.
Phew!
While pulling out of Juan Diego, I thought to myself,
"The Paulsen family lives just up the street! Let's pay a visit!"
With a phone call asking to visit, I was off and up to their street!
I was welcoming by 3 little girls, Olivia, Ana and precious Kambria.
The 3 little sister the God forgot to give me.
I visited with them for just a little bit.
While talking to James, Kambria kept climbing up my body...wanting to be thrown in the air and cuddled.
It's so easy to love this little girl when all she gives to you is LOVE.
Our friend London was there too.
So me, London and James were able to catch up together.
We talking about school.
Roommates.
Boyfriends.
Girlfriends.
It was just a good time to catch up with old friends and a family I love and adore!
Back to Salt Lake I went!
Walked into my room...
KABOOM!
WWIII! I still hadn't put away an clothes. A bomb had hit my room!
So I cleaned while listening to Christmas music!
I receive a phone call from brother Stephen,
"Hey Annie....ummm...I'm hungry. Can you bring me lunch?"
For some reason...I was so willing to do it that I didn't even say YES.
I answered with "Okay just text me what you want from Wendy's and I'll be there as soon as I can!"
I guess the reason I was so willing was because I have been in his position.
Long Clayton concert rehearsals can be really fun...but at the same time....exhausting and well...LONG!
I went over to pick up Trent so he could join me and finish putting in my stereo.
Oscar came along too!
Picked up Wendy's and went in to take it to Stephen.
While Trent worked in the stereo, I watched Stephen's group run through their show one more time.
He did such a good job!
Back home we went!
I got ready for a night with the English family!
While taking some time to decide a good place to eat that will be easy to monitor little Jake and Portie, Trent showed me some new songs he was working on.
With the final decision of Red Robin...we were off!
Portie serenaded us with Taylor Swift songs and the first line of "Hey Soul Sister"
This 4 year old makes me laugh more than any little kid I know!
After 30 minutes of waiting for a table...we were finally ready to order!
Banzai Burger it was for me!
Hold the bun...give me a lettuce wrap.
Although it was rough eating it...I was able to manage and it was delicious!
We headed over to Liberty Park for a nativity show.
Several stages were set up along the park where volunteers endured the cold while putting on the story of Christ's birth for us.
It was cold...but amazing.
I loved spending time with the English family and seeing a fun show.
I love this family!
Thank you Carl, Becky, Jess, Tom, Portie, Jack, Justin and Trent!

1149 Sisters!
Aubrey and I came down here on our own with the hope to make new friends.
Not gonna lie...I was seriously worried that none of my roommates would like me.
But the day I met all of my roomies...all of those worries went away.
They were all so sweet and welcoming.
I feel like we all became such good friends from the very beginning.
We are rarely all together because we all have different work and school schedules.
We have wanted to have dinner all together but it never worked out.
FINALLY one day I asked all of them to come over to my house in Salt Lake for dinner this Sunday and
EVERY one of them were able to come!
My amazing mom made us an incredible Sunday dinner.
We all sat around the table and enjoyed each other's company.
We talked about Harry Potter and Twilight.
We talked about families and school.
We talked about good looking men.
I feel like we all got to know each other even more during that dinner.
I LOVE these girls!
We are all so different...BUT when we are all together...it's noting but a grand ol' time!
I am so blessed to have such amazing roommates.
They are always there for me.
They make me laugh more than anyone.
I don't know how I got so lucky!
I love all 5 of them!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM APT H1149!!!

Day 9
Today I am grateful for popcorn and milk duds. Aubrey, Carlos and I wanted to watch a movie tonight. I love watching movies! Especially when I have popcorn and milkduds...anyone who knows me knows that I love eating a milkdud and then throwing some popcorn in my mouth..hello!! Carmel popcorn! So we went to Walmart and got me some milkduds while Carlos got himself some Oreos...I'm sad to say that I cannot eat Oreos anymore...but I did...don't tell anyone. But we came back home and watched Robin Hood Men In Tights....(TIGHT tights) It was so funny! But ya...I'm grateful for popcorn and milkduds....and the fun night that I had with Carlos and Aubbie.

To Sum Up The Week...
This week was pretty good! Some stressful times here and there but I got through them!
So I took my science test on Monday and get a 74%. I was really excited about it because science is a totally different language to me. Then I go to class on Wednesday and found out that with the curve, I got an 87%! Good day!
On Thursday, Aub Dob and I went out to shoot some pictures for our photography class. We spotted a piece of land and decided to shoot there. Aubs noticed a tree house off to the side and so we stopped there and took some amazing pictures! It was like Neverland! We thought it was so cute!

Photo taken by me!

Photo taken by Aubs!
Then off to institute....you can never go wrong with institute. We love our teacher and he loves us! :) He knew my grandpa Hugh. It's always fun meeting people like that.
After institute, my sister Bethany and I went out for sushi! We get dinner every Thursday! I love my sister!
Friday came. TGIF! Work. Then off to photography lab! Me and Aubrey were really proud of ourselves for shooting some pretty awesome pictures! Our lab instructor liked them too...especially Aubrey's! When we got home, we put on some sweet eye-liner and made ourselves some awesome Egyptian snake type head bands. IT'S NATIONAL KING TUT DAY!! Aubrey has this sweet calendar with random holidays and today was King Tut day! Here's to King Tut!!

My friend Todd came and picked me up and we headed off to Salt Lake for the Olympus-Bountiful football game. His brother is on the team. Unfortunately, Olympus didn't win...BUT it was a good game. Todd, Andrew, Maddie and I headed up to Emigration canyon for dinner at Ruth's Diner and then to their old boss' house. His name is Rich. NICEST man I will ever meet.
Aubrey left early this morning to head up to Sandy. I was glad I was kind of awake when she left because I was able to give her a big hug good bye. Woke up late this morning...I needed it. Went grocery shopping...spent a good amount on food..but after 2 months of no good food, it was needed. Came home and watched "Eclipse"...by myself. Wasn't having a very good day so it was nice to have some Annie time. Then we had some friends over for the Alabama-LSU game! There were only a few LSU fans present. I was one of them. My roomie Hoa is an LSU fan...so I supported her tonight!

Me and Hoa!! Love this girl!
It was really fun! A good game with good food and friends! It was a good way to end a lousy day. We all missed Aubrey tonight....we always miss Aubrey when she is away.
The Bama-LSU crew!
The LSU fans in the house!!!
So happy they won!!
Then Carlos and I went in my room to talk about some stuff. He is such a good friend! He was able to give me some good advice. He brings such a sweet spirit to this apartment!
Then Kib joined us and we talked for a bit. I love my new friends down here!
Yep today was kind of lousy...but it ended with a good time with good friends...and good food :)

A Sunday full of Diversity!
So Aubrey and I got back to Orem late late Saturday night..
This resulted in us sleeping in on Sunday...
BUT! We did make it to sacrament meeting.
Where me and Aubrey were sustained for our new callings.
Aubs is on the Relief Society weekday activity planning committee...
She will do amazing things. haha
I am the ward choir pianist..
Wow...didn't see that one coming...
I've only had 4 other music callings.
But I am happy with it.
And every one sustained us! Hooray!
We came home to do some relaxing.
Our friend Kib came over and started making pupusas!
It's a Salvadorian meal.
My dad served in El Salvador and so we've had those a few times.
They were DELISH!

We enjoyed our pupusas while watching Modern Family.
I LOVE this show now!
Our other friend Jeremy from upstairs came over.
He started making us enchiladas.
I thought I would never have a home cooked Sunday meal while living down here.
Man we got it good!
They took a long time to make.
So worth it though!
We had a load of diversity in apt. H-1149 tonight!
We enjoyed the company of an:
asian
honduran
mexican/bolivian
mexican
and an indian
How awesome is that?
Aubrey, Elise and I were the only white girls present haha
Then I found a jabbawockeez mask on our counter after ward prayer
Kept me entertained for a bit!

Everyone decided to watch a scary movie.
Carlos, Aubrey, Me...not fans
So we sat in our room and played the guitar and had some good talks with our friend Losey!
(Carlos)
We took some fun pictures.
So much better than wetting my pants from a scary movie.

Then we had a visitor!
Our friend Todd.
Him and Carlos spoke in Espanol throughout the night.
Aubs and I spoke to each other in German.
It was great.
Just kidding
But we all had a grand ol' time in the room of Annie and Aubrey

I'd say it was a good Sabbath for H-1149!

An Amazing Weekend of Love....
This past week was really lousy due to
work, school and other stuff...
Started off my Friday with a hope for a good day.
Did I get that good day?
Not at the beginning...
Came home from work in tears to my roomie Aubs.
She did nothing but comfort me and hug me.
Much needed.
She is amazing!
We went to our photography lab which was great!
Our instructor is HILAR!...as Aubsie would say.
Aub was the class model for "awkward, distorted face" pictures.
She still looked beautiful!
Met up with our friend Sarah Howard.
Off to Salt Lake!
Best part of the drive was talking on the phone with our dear friend.
Carlos.
He is a new friend of me and Aubrey.
Upon our arrival, Brian Wilder came over.
He treated me and Aubrey to Zupas!
Aubs got the TBA and I got a salad.
Oh ya...I can really only have salads from there now...
This darn Celiac disease!
Stories were shared and tears were shed...
K no tears...but good/okay stories were told.
We love Brian!
Last year Aubrey and I went to Freaky Fridays.
It's a Halloween show that Clayton puts on every Friday in October.
Highly recommend it!
Before Freaky Fridays last year, we visited our beautiful friend Sophie at her grave.
She passed away last summer and will never be forgotten.
To keep this tradition living, Aubs and I decided to go to Freaky Fridays.
It gets better and better every year! We saw Aubrey's brother Austin!
He did amazing!

I also saw 2 of my old dance students I taught last year!
Mikala and Shanay! They were good looking zombies!

Before we went to the show, we visited Sophie.
It was such a sweet experience to have with Aubrey.
They have dozens of roses set up.
An angel statue.
And a garden sign with her name in it along with a laminated picture of Sophie and a scripture from Proverbs.
Aubrey and I just stood there in the rain.
Hugging each other.
Crying.
And telling memories of Sophie.
It's moments like that where you learn to appreciate life and loved ones.
I've never been more grateful for my best friend Aubrey.
Sharing that moment with her was life changing for us.

"Feel the fear and do it anyways."
-Sophie Rose Barton
After dropping Aubrey off at her house, I headed over to visit my dear friend Trent.
On the way over there, I talked with my best friend Elsa on the phone!
I miss her.
She goes to BYU-I.
It was good to just talk to her and catch up!
Trent treated me to Cafe Rio.
Thank goodness I can still eat that!
Then off to Target!
We got some food for Trent for his Saturday meal.
I saw Boo Berries...Brian's favorite cereal.
I couldn't help but throw a box in the basket.
We went back to Trent's and watched a food TV show with his fam.
It was great!
Gotta love the English family.
Then Trent got me into Modern Family.
Never seen it.
Loved it?
YES!
Trent and I enjoyed a fun talk full of random questions and laughs.
Good day!
Woke up Saturday morning to a busy busy day!
Ran errands for my mom. (She was out of town)
Stephen had homecoming that night so I had to get his shoes, tie and flowers!

Stephen and I before Homecoming
He looked so handsome!
My mom is a rock star.
I don't know how she does it!
Then off to the temple to watch my best friend Megan Brock walk out after getting sealed.
Steph Dowse and I drove together and had an amazing talk!
I love her!!
Then Megan and Garret came out!
Megan and Garret were glowing!

Stephanie Dowse and I were "unofficial bridesmaids"
What an honor??

We were able to spend the whole day with a beautiful bride!
Her reception was amazing!
Greg Dowse was my date!
We were early so we stopped by a pizza place and got a pizza!
Did I eat some?
You betcha!
Did I feel sick after?
You betcha!
A photobooth+yummy treats+dancing+Jordan & Denise Sinquefield=an amazing night!
!

Good ol' Clayton friends!

Catching up with childhood friend-Brynnie Bug!

Me, Steph and Camille!

So happy for Megs and Garret!

Our best friend's wedding!

Steph, Greg, Garret's friends and I had the honor to decorate the car!
Window markers, oreos, TP, balloons and streamers were our weapons!
Came home and got some laundry done while I had a visit with Trent!
Family came home from Arizona!
So happy to see them!
Aubs came over and we headed back down to Orem.
Was it was lousy, busy week?
Yep.
Was is an amazing weekend??
Oh ya!
